The Oxford Caledonian Pipes and Drums Band is a group of musicians who are dedicated to keeping traditional Scottish pipe music alive. The Band has performed all over England and on the continent. It has also competed at numerous pipe band competitions. Spreading the word
The Band is currently looking to recruit new members and would like to hear from anyone who is interested in learning to play the bagpipes or drums. Beginners can expect to receive expert tuition from tutors with many years experience in playing, performing and teaching. Those who already have experience in playing pipes or drums will find a friendly atmosphere and a high standard of playing. The Band
The Band has been together for more than 35 years. It is a registered charity and non-profit making organisation consisting of a group of friendly people from Oxfordshire and surrounding counties. The Band meets weekly in Oxford and performs during most weekends in the summer months. Performances
The Band plays regularly at carnivals and parades in Oxfordshire, the surrounding counties and in Europe, performing rousing music and providing an exciting spectacle. The Band is available for hire for private events and offers competitive rates.
